STOCKHOLM – April 6, 2011 – Ingate® Systems, a leading provider of Enterprise Session Border Controllers (E-SBCs) that enable SIP communications such as SIP trunking and Unified Communications beyond the protected enterprise network, has added new tools and functionalities to simplify SIP trunk installations in software version 4.9, now available for all Ingate Firewall® and Ingate SIParator® E-SBCs.
The new software includes several features to consolidate, simplify and expand the capabilities of Ingate E-SBCs.
Software version 4.9 provides an easier way for customers to work with multiple service providers and to route calls to multiple PBXs. While previous software versions supported both of these requirements, in the latest version the settings for each pair of such connections has been consolidated into a single page, with multiple pages possible for any combination or any number of such connections. This will permit the Ingate E-SBC to be configured to support even the most complex environments, simply and quickly.
The new software release also responds to the evolution of IP-PBXs, service provider networks and other servers by incorporating an enhanced feature set of interoperability settings and enhanced header manipulation logic. These settings make interoperability easier and more reliable, making the Ingate an even more powerful and important tool for the deployment of SIP, SIP trunking and Unified Communications.
Improvements specific to video-over-IP installations are also included, supporting the growing demand for ad hoc video in the enterprise.
